Tasting Note:
To the sight it has very good clarity and appearance, old gold with amber highlights. Frank on the nose, with highly intense and complex aromas. Traces of solera, pastry, refined vanillas and ethereal nuances.
Broad and intense to the palate. Well-balanced, tasty, unctuous, sweet sensation, pleasant and very harmonised.
Long and elegant aftertaste.
Leyenda Oro Pedro Ximénez won a Gold Medal at the Challenge International du Vin, the largest and oldest competition in France. This year 5 072 wines from 36 countries were entered, of which only 250 won Gold Medals. The judging panel consisted of 844 internationally-renowned tasters.
Leyenda Oro Pedro Ximénez is aged for several years in casks in which Oloroso once aged, lending it some very individual notes.
Tasting Note: It has an attractive chestnut amber colour. To the nose, a frank and complex bouquet with elegant toasty hints, raisins, fig bread, dark-roasted coffees, dried fruit (walnut and hazelnut) and glazed fruit (orange peel).
To the palate, unctuous, smooth and rounded, balanced and complete, fresh and endowed with a good structure, very aromatic and full-bodied. The hints of coffee, liquid caramel and toasted sugar are outstanding. A very good quality and intensive finish. |
